Valentine's Day Trivia Love

Serene Stay & Play Cafe is excited to announce our first big event this Valentine's Day! Two lovely ladies, Jenilee and Andrea will be hosting a fun evening of Trivia Love with a few prizes at the end of the evening. For this special event, there are some choices of beer, ciders, coolers and wine in addition to our full menu of light meals and fun board game snacks! There will be tables of 4 per team so grab another couple to play along. Limited tickets are for sale now - $12.00 each.

Board Games For All- Every Monday

Do you like games, but need people ot play with, or want help learning some new games? Come play with us! Hosted by a group of inclusive and welcoming folks from Chilliwack Pathways, we meet up every Monday from 12:00-2:00pm here at Serene Stay @ & Play Cafe. There will always be an open spot at the table, and everyone of all gaming levels or abilities is welcome. We love meeting new people so whether you are a senior, newcomer to town, stay at home parent, someone struggling with disabilities or mental health needing to connect, or anyone else wanting to meet new people to play games with- you are welcome! We meet every Monday at 12:00-2:00pm. Cost for the daily game fee is $5.00 plus taxes.

D & D Play Testing (Rebooked)- Only 6 spots available!

Vedder Press is play testing their new Dungeons and Dragons 5e 1st to 3rd level adventure at Serene Stay and Play Café on May 23, June 6 and June 13 from 4pm to 8pm. 6 players are needed to adventure on the Isle of Cats; pre-generated characters will be provided. The adventure is a murder mystery in the southern town of Port Ines. The players are in town during a wedding when someone uses the knife used to cut the wedding cake to steal a magical gem and murder the cleric that was guarding the gem. The towns meager police force of three people is not capable of closing off the road and port to prevent the criminal(s) from escaping or stopping an impending disaster when the noble guest for surrounding towns panic and try to flee. They need heroes. The event is $5 paid in advance; players must be 16+ years of age. The store has a copy of the Players Handbook, the DM has dice, pencils and other things you will need. JazzminBlues- Live Music Band- Free

Jive to live Jazz music with the JazzminBlues band while enjoying your visit with your special someone or family & friends. Question cards will be available to guide intentional conversations for a time of connecting while enjoying the live music. If you are staying and playing board games as well, the daily game fees will apply.

Puzzle Contest (Price for Two)

Our first puzzle contest! Pick a partner and join the fun to beat the puzzle race to first place! Costs are for two (you and a friend) as well as gaming fees for boardgames and pool if you come earlier in the day. It also includes the puzzle you get to take home that is a wood puzzle created by our local artist Lori Anne! There will be a prize of a $15 gift card for the winner.
